BEFORE & AFTERS
Powder or ombre brows are versatile and can cater to a broad audience, particularly benefiting those who face challenges with other types of brow tattoos due to skin type or aesthetic preferences. If you're considering this technique, it's important to consult with a skilled permanent makeup artist who can assess your skin type and aesthetic goals to ensure the best outcome for your brows
Powder or ombre brows are a type of permanent makeup technique that provides a soft, shaded brow pencil look. It's done using a small tattoo machine that places extremely tiny dots of pigment into the skin which gradually builds up the color and defines the shape.
Microblading typically lasts between one to three years, depending on factors such as skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. Touch-up sessions may be needed to maintain the desired shape and color over time.
While discomfort levels vary from person to person, most clients report mild discomfort during the microblading procedure. Topical numbing cream is applied to minimize any discomfort, and the procedure is generally well-tolerated.
The entire powder brow process, including consultation and numbing, typically takes about two to three hours. This allows ample time for discussing your desired brow shape, color, and any concerns you may have.
Prior to your powder/ombre appointment, it's essential to avoid blood-thinning medications, alcohol, and caffeine to minimize bleeding and ensure optimal pigment retention. It's also helpful to avoid tweezing or waxing your eyebrows for at least two weeks beforehand.
While powder/ombre is suitable for almost all individuals, it may not be recommended for those with certain medical conditions, skin conditions, or allergies to tattoo pigments. A thorough consultation with your brow technician will help determine if you are a suitable candidate.
