Academy Policies

At So.Co. Academy, we are committed to providing high-quality, professional training in permanent makeup and aesthetics. Please review the following policies carefully prior to enrolling in any course.

Enrollment in any So.Co. Academy training program constitutes acknowledgment and acceptance of these policies.

Deposits & Payments

All training courses require a deposit to secure enrollment.

All deposits and course payments are non-refundable.

• Deposits reserve your seat in the program, instructor time, administrative preparation, and access to course materials.

• Once a deposit or payment is made, no refunds will be issued for any reason, including but not limited to scheduling conflicts, personal circumstances, or change of mind.

Course Access & Enrollment

Course access is granted once payment is received.

• Enrollment secures a limited training spot and instructional resources.

• Students are responsible for completing coursework, practice requirements, and scheduling in-person sessions within recommended timeframes for best success.

Scheduling & Completion

In-person training sessions are scheduled based on instructor availability and must be booked in advance.

• Students are encouraged to remain consistent in progressing through levels; extended delays between levels may affect availability.

• Scheduling availability is not guaranteed beyond the standard booking window.

Certification

• Certificates are issued upon successful completion of each course level, including required coursework, practice submissions, and in-person training.

• Certification indicates completion of training and does not constitute state or county licensure.

Additional permits, insurance, and certifications (such as bloodborne pathogens training) may be required by local or state regulations and are the responsibility of the student.

Licensing & Insurance

• So.Co. Academy provides professional training and certification only.

• Licensing requirements vary by state and county.

• Students are responsible for obtaining any required permits, licenses, or insurance to legally practice.

• Proof of certification is typically required by insurance providers to qualify for coverage.

Transfers & Deferrals

• Deposits may be held on file for a future course at So.Co. Academy at the discretion of the academy.

• Transfers or deferrals are not guaranteed and are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

• No monetary refunds will be issued for unused deposits or course payments.

Policy Acknowledgment

Students will be required to review and acknowledge these policies as part of the enrollment process. By submitting payment, students confirm they have read, understood, and agreed to all So.Co. Academy policies.
